The Faithful Door Keeper

You may be in a situation where you feel like a doorkeeper. You remain at the entrance to usher in people who go into the interior of the facility. One of the hardest question for the doorkeeper would be, why me? Am I lesser of them all to always be at the gate?

See, there is that small ka-building at the gate, only bigger than the kennel or the chicken shed. You cant live in it, you cant tally in it given that you have to man the gate, it only comes in handy when it pours. That Ka-house is small but your mind is not small, should not be small, should not think small.

Remember that man called Mordecai in the Bible? He was no common gatekeeper. He was faithful and passionate with the little place he had at the entrance of the Palace. He cared about the welfare of the king and for that his name was written in the book of remembrance. And the King did remember him.

You will not be a doorkeeper forever, keep the door in such a way that many after you will have a legacy to beat a door keeping legacy.

Part of the daily duties of a doorkeeper is to open and close the door. He thus should learn to see open doors (Opportunities). Mordecai saw an open door, someone wanted to harm the king and he could not let that happen. He may not have realized it at that time but right there was an open door. He had a good heart and a positive attitude to life. It worked for him.

What you do is what will open doors for you - or close them, and maybe slam them doors on your face! It is not where you are, it is where your mind is, your heart and there your purpose.
