It is my great pleasure to write this to you. Its been a while. I want you to be encouraged enough to reach out for your destiny, to be positively charged, living that purpose which is God ordained for you.
There is a reason for which every one of us breathes. God
has placed in us the ability and the potential to become the people we want to
be. Every day that we live, we live to accomplish that purpose. The essence of
our lives lies in the purpose for which we are alive and on earth at such a time
like this.
So, what do I do?
Equip yourself to
accomplish the purpose. Unless you are well equipped to face your purpose
in life, your purpose will be too big for you and you will either abandon it
along the way or its weight will suffocate you. You need wisdom, knowledge and
understanding. Wisdom is God-given, you just ask for it in prayer like King
Solomon. Knowledge is acquired by learning – that’s why you are in school, OK?
Understanding is self taught – there is no school where you learn understanding. (Read Prov 24:3-5)
Keep the purpose in
mind. When I was a kid, mom would send me to the shop. I would run all the
way there. I would hand over the cash to the shopkeeper who would ask, what do
you want? Then I would start scratching my tiny head.
You need to keep in mind what it is that you want to
accomplish, if you do so, you will spend you every second to consolidate the
effort to get there, and nothing, and no one will stop you from getting there.
Engage with people
who have your kind of purpose. Who do you surround yourself with? Are they
only concerned with issues past? Make them past tense; you don’t want to be a
backward person. Are you around people who are obsessed with the pleasure of
the moment at the expense of the rest of their lives? Your life is to last,
don’t waste it on today. Make today count. Have people who know there is a life
to live. You need people who are not shy to face tomorrow, people who are
living for a purpose that is greater than yesterday, a purpose that is
stretching beyond today, a purpose that is worth living for, the rest of your
life.
Redeem your time for
the sake of the purpose. Other than life, the next greatest gift that we
have, according to me, is time. Time gives a pauper the chance to become the
prince, a child the chance to become a parent, to a sinner a chance to become a
saint.
Every second of every minute of every hour of every day,
week, month, years, decade that you will ever live is essential. Make it count
by being accountable for what you do with your time.
Be conscious of how you spend your time, else it will pass without
any accomplishments. Great
achievers have this in common; they invest in time. For them there is always a
seed in the soil, a flourishing field, a store of yields, a boiling pot and a
table of delicacies. They do not wait for time. They invest in time.
“Without God, life has no purpose, and without purpose, life has no meaning. Without meaning, life has no significance or hope.” Rick Warren.
Today, while we still have chance, lets make it count. Be the best you can be. I have missed you people a lot. See you the next time you come round.
