Today, it’s not a big deal to have a joker
on radio blaspheme the name of God almighty. We have reduced God to a joker’s
tongue game field. Someone has to say enough is enough.
God is no man’s age mate. You don’t do a mchongoano (Mockery Duel) with God. How dare we? How dare we be tickled
by their dishonour to the one in whom we breathe and have life? In pretence, they
change their voices albeit to check on the sentence of their conscience.
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. What is is that we seek to reap? Let's watch on what we sow. We always get what we deserve from God.
Are we living in a joker generation? Every
joker wants to have the hardest, deepest, longest laugh from their audience.
The cards are pushed to the extreme, profanity is the in thing. We use Holy
Bible verses to illustrate and drive home abominable intentions. Who are we?
We laugh when these jokers use the name
of the Lord in vain. We are part of the issue, part of the problem. Lets have a solution.
You
shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold
anyone guiltless who misuses his name. Ex 20:7
What happened to fear and reverence for
God? We never think that God is watching? How many would dare mention the name
of their boss in some of these jokes?
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
knowledge, are we becoming fools who despise the wisdom of God? Are we ready to
drink from the cup of the wrath of God?
It is no wrong to laugh in the premise of a
good hearty joke, a long recurring laughter. They say laughter is medicinal. Laugh right.
I am not a prophet. I have spoken.
