Ever bought something that you happened to
like right from the seller's shelf only to latter realize that it is low quality and the
cost you paid was way too high? Too low a deal, counterfeit.
It’s easy to be who I want you to think I
am. I can be someone else for some time, not all the time, not forever. Can I sustain who I make you think I am? At what cost? Why pay expensively for a no deal?
Roots and leaves. The roots are the
foundation. The leaves are what we see. Look beyond what you see. See beyond
what you are looking at. Scratch the surface. The leaves are seasonal, the
roots rule. The leaves are attractive, flowery, the roots, you don’t say.
What you see is a a reflection of what is not seen; the only problem with putting trust in what you see is that it could be whitewashed, the work of a good copy-artist.
What do you know about the person you think
you know? Is it the leafy, flowery guy or the real, root guy?
It’s not about being the perfect person.
Who will ever be? It’s about being you. The relationship world would be a
better place if we stopped playing the So-And-So Celeb copy-cat.
People hate change, much more when it is someone
else wanting to change them! In the long run you don’t get from people what you
want, you get who they are!
Are you, or are you?
Are you, or are you?
Make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For
if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep
you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our
Lord Jesus Christ. (2Peter 1:5-8)
