When I'm With Myself

Who am I?

If I by any chance happen not to know myself, I will never ever be of any value to anyone in the long term. Yeah, you get to be of assistance in the short term. You get to be like a vegetable - perishable. You get to be like a machine - depreciating and getting obsolete.

You got to know who you are because if you don't know how precious you are, you will get to be treated like trash and not the precious jewel that you are. You got to know your golden value because only then shall you be able to turn away any Dick and Harry who comes to you with some trial and error motive.

Where am I going?

If you are on the way to nowhere, either you will forever be where you are or you will get anywhere that is nowhere, fast.

Is there a path that is definite that you have taken? Do you know where you are going? What is at the end of the road that you have taken?

What is this path called? What is the name of the place it ends? Who are the sojourners along this path? Am I a bird of their feather?

Date yourself!

Ha! Yeah. I mean it. Get to know yourself. Get to know who you really are. What is your mandate? what is your purpose? what are the timelines of your mandate? when does it expire? Who are you and if you are not a who, what are you? :-)

If you do not understand yourself, you will never be in a position to understand anyone else. The Bible says love others, as you love yourself. Before you try love someone else, you got to have loved yourself. So date yourself first. What are your interests? What are your priorities? What are your like? How is it to be you with you? Are you happy when alone?

Are you lonely alone or do you enjoy your self companionship? Do you enjoy being yourself when you are with yourself?

If you seek to be happy, contented, joyful, peaceful and all,  by seeking it from other people by being with other people, then you are seeking it all the wrong way!

Seek to be comfortable when you are with yourself and it is gonna be well when with others.
